A goddess representing L’Este (summer) holds a leafy branch in one hand and a torch in the other. This 18th C. en grisaille painting on ivory under glass is framed octagonally by a painted lavender border outlined in silver. The glass cover has few tiny nicks along the edge. Copper rim. The reverse shows the ivory and a heavy loop shank. Est. selling price is $600-1500.
