Large one-piece silvered copper from the late 18th or early 19th century depicting Demeter or Ceres, goddess of agriculture/abundance/earth in a rather defiant pose as she gazes toward the rising sun, her elbow leaning on a shield with three fleur-de-lis (royal symbol) atop a pedestal marked with an N (for Napoleon?).
