#271 Tighttop Golliwog

A medium and very scarce celluloid tight top golliwog button. British jam manufacture, James Robertson & Sons, used the golliwog as a trademark beginning in the early 1900’s. These buttons were worn only on the uniforms of the company managers and thus are quite scarce. The reverse is tinned steel with a large brass loop shank. Est. selling price is $100-200.
