A medium glass button from the early part of the 20th century with the head of a woman in black glass cemented to a flat, milk glass wafer. The head is embellished with two paste brilliants. Shown BBB PL 41-23. Collectors have suggested the identification as Sissieretta Jones, an African-American opera singer, famous in the early 1900s. Brass rosette shank. Est. selling price is $60-100.
