Beautiful LaLique glass by early 20th C. French designer René LaLique features a nude under an overhanging floral bough. Three seed pearls decorate the glass. This button (as described in an article on LaLique, NBS May 2010, p. 65-67) first hung as a medallion from a perfume bottle, made for the couturier Fioret. Some medallions were later converted into buttons by the Lalique factory and other jewelers. Lower front edge of glass reads R.LALIQUE, FIORET, PARIS. Sterling silver mount and shank.
