Rare porcelain sailboat, painted within a gilded border and gilded shank. The reverse is well marked England Coalport A.D. 1750 V4875. Although founded in 1750, Coalport Porcelain began producing buttons only in the early 20th century. Illustrated in “Buttons” by Epstein-Saftro, pg. 143.
