Antique buttons contain so much history, including buttons that commemorated historical events such as this pair in our current auction in Lot #58. This is a small S.S. Maine commemorating the U.S. Navy ship that sank in Havana Harbor in 1898, and a medium Panama Canal, commemorating the opening of the canal in 1914.
